Shawndra Headshot 2023.png

Shawndra Holmberg has been helping writers WRITE, authors PUBLISH and introverts MARKET for seven years. She is an author, a book coach, and has held the hands of numerous authors as she’s walked them through writing, publishing and marketing their books with her company, HYH (Hold Your Hand).

Shawndra has written and published five books in her Small Steps series where she breaks complex concepts down into actionable steps for you to take.

Shawndra is also a Professional Organizer  and has a been a member of the National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals since 2005. She’s a personal trainer for your productivity, a mentor for your goals, and a motivational force for your creativity.

Shawndra considers herself a lousy tourist as she usually spends her vacations enjoying a good book (reading one or writing one) and drinking coffee on her lanai, deck, porch or sunroom. That’s why she prefers to live and work in interesting locales. She went to graduate school in Montana, worked on Johnston Island (~850 southwest of Hawai’i) for several years, spent a year at the South Pole, Antarctica, and then thawed out in Hawai’i. She is currently enjoying the people and scenery of Western Pennsylvania as she organizes and coaches writers and others who are reaching for their dreams.

Let’s start the journey to your book together. Schedule a complimentary call and let’s talk about your book. Here’s the general flow of our call:

  • I’ll ask you three questions. (15-20 minutes)

    • What’s your idea and where are you in your book journey?

    • What do you want for your book and for you?

    • Who do you think your readers are?

  • I’ll share what I do and how/if I can be a great team member on your book journey. (5-10 minutes)

  • You’re next steps, whether I’m part of the journey or not. (5-10 minutes)

Looking forward to hearing about your book. Schedule your call here.

Helping writers WRITE, authors PUBLISH and introverts MARKET

Shawndra is a natural teacher; confident, comfortable, calm, and knowledgable. Very knowledgable.

I recommend her hand-holding promotion services for any self-published author who doesn’t have the time or energy to research the never ending list of tasks associated with Kindle and Goodreads promotions, sales and deals. During each shared-computer-screen appointment she shares helpful and detailed information.

From Hoarding to Hope

When it came to formatting, self-publishing, and marketing my book on KDP, I knew I wanted Shawndra to be the one to show me how. She is very experienced and supremely patient and encouraging. We also had a few laughs along the way!

She virtually held my hand and taught me the skills I will need next time to do it on my own. I’m already working on my next book, and it is comforting to know that if I run into trouble, or want to learn more, Shawndra will be there to help me again.

Thank you Shawndra for your endless encouragement in every step of my book writing journey. You were so mindful in taking the time to acknowledge and celebrate each successful milestone no matter how small.

Your expertise in editing, formatting and the back end administration of navigating through the Amazon/Kindle realm was priceless to me. It was one less thing I had to worry about because I knew you had my back. Lastly, your gentle approach to coaching guided me to the finish line while still keeping true to my initial goals.
