Where to find the printing cost for your book — KDP Printing costs will change on June 20, 2023

1. Your KDP account

Go to KDP.com and sign in

2. Your Bookshelf

Scroll to your book and press the three dots on the right hand side next to PAPERBACK ACTIONS button

3. PAPERBACK ACTIONS

Click on "Edit Paperback Rights & Pricing"

4. KDP print cost

Scroll down to the "Pricing, royalty, and distribution" section.

You'll see your current List Price, Printing cost, and Royalty on the first line. On the line below are your Printing cost and Royalty that will be effective June 20, 2023 based on the same list price.

For most paperback books that are 6"x9" or smaller, the average cost is $0.15. Not a huge change.

5. Publish

Hit the Publish button, if you've changed your price. Your price won't update until you publish.

6. Books larger than 6"x9"

If your book trim size is larger than 6"x9", your KDP print cost will increase more than the average $0.15. The larger books will have a new fixed and per-page cost.

The increase in printing costs for my Pet Preparedness book, trim size 7.44" x 9.69", is $1.49.

Note: There is a decrease in the per-page cost for certain color-ink print books. So not every change was an in crease
